Who We Are

What We Do
|
ABWC was established in 1959 with the following Objectives:
Monthly Membership Meetings are held at Noon on the second Wednesday of each month except June, July and August. Meetings are held at the Ruskin Moose Lodge #183. Check out Monthly Programs for information about upcoming programs. We raise money for scholarships for local high school seniors and give supplies and food to local elementary schools, as well as supporting other community initiatives.. We promote sociability through a number of clubs: the Book Club offers members an opportunity to discuss a variety of books, the Culture Club offers trips to museums, theater productions and other local points of interest, the Garden/Craft Club offers trips to local garden locales and opportunities to participate in craft classes. See the Clubs page for information about events. We also support Community Events sponsored by other organizations which are designed to raise money for charities or promote well being of local residents. ABWC is a 501(c)(3) and donations may be tax deductible. We are extremely grateful for the support of our members and our advertisers. Please check out Supporter Ads and consider using these businesses. |
Community Service
Community Service is an outreach of the Apollo Beach Woman's Club to identify opportunities in our local community where the Club might offer support. In the past we have contributed to local Elementary Schools with supplies as well as gift cards and gifts during the winter holidays. We have also contributed to Mary and Martha House, supported summer scholarships at Firehouse Cultural Center and contributed to Mission Smiles and Backpacks on a Mission. We are happy to support local families and welcome suggestions.
Scholarships
One of the primary Objectives go ABWC is to provide scholarships for education and training of students who live in Apollo Beach and surrounding areas who have a demonstrated financial need. For additional Information on scholarship criteria and the most recent recipients, go to Scholarships.
