From the President
Welcome to the Apollo Beach Woman's Club Website! I hope this helps you become acquainted with our club and its members.
We have a strong membership of over 160 members who gather once a month from September through May at the Apollo's Bistro in Apollo Beach on the 2nd Wednesday for a luncheon and program.
The purpose of our club is to raise money for scholarships for high school students to continue their education and to lend a helping hand in our community.
In order to accomplish this, we will be having various fund raising events this year.
Although raising funds to support our scholarships and community projects are of primary importance, we also like to have fun and explore the area we live in. Several clubs within the club exist:
The Garden Club visits nurseries, gardens (both private and open to the public) and has speakers on various types of plants that do well in our area.
The Culture Club takes a trip once a month to attend museums, theater productions, showcase houses, etc. and always has lunch in a new and different restaurant.
The Bridge Club meets the 4th Monday of every month at the Golf & Sea Golf Course Clubhouse and is open to all levels of play.
The Book Club meets once a month at members homes to discuss the book of the month and the group also takes occasional field trips.
We welcome anyone interested in joining us for one of our luncheons to contact Sharon Vasquez, 813 (641-7856) or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.. She will be happy to include you in the luncheon as a guest at the cost of $18.
